The Oak Ridges Trail Association (ORTA) is pleased to announce that Ron Mantay has taken on a lead role in overseeing the organization’s insurance and risk management portfolio.
In this capacity, Ron will help strengthen ORTA’s approach to risk management and ensure that appropriate insurance frameworks are in place to support the organization’s activities, volunteers, and long-term sustainability.
Ron is a member of the ORTA Board of Directors and brings extensive leadership experience along with a lifelong passion for outdoor recreation. Over the past eight years, he has explored many sections of the Oak Ridges Trail, developing a deep appreciation for the Moraine and its landscapes.
His professional background includes serving on the Board of Directors for the Canadian Solar Industries Association and holding senior leadership roles at Alectra Utilities. He has also contributed significantly to the Richmond Hill Camera Club as a Board member, including terms as President and Vice President, where he helped drive operational and financial improvements.
A dedicated volunteer involved in hiking, canoeing, and nature photography communities, Ron brings a strong blend of governance expertise and practical experience to this important role.
