The Second Wedge Brewing Co. was named after Uxbridge’s location on one of the four wedges of the Oak Ridges Moraine. Co-founders and owners Joanne Richter & Rob Garrard wanted to draw the people who love the Moraine trails into downtown Uxbridge, to help it thrive. The Second Wedge Brewing Co. is a natural gathering place at the crossroads of the Trans Canada Trail and Uxbridge’s local trail network. The Second Wedge brings people together around great beer, local art, music, cycling, and a shared love for getting outside and moving. Long before the there was a brewery, there was a passion for the Moraine. Joanne and Rob paddled, rode and ran together in the Oak Ridges Moraine Adventure Relay as part of team “Bean There, Brewed That” (originally “The Oridginals”).
