Community Workshop in Richmond Hill – Enhancing the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail
The Oak Ridges Trail Association (ORTA), in collaboration with the Greenbelt Foundation, is leading the first major public engagement process in more than two decades.
Tell us: Where are there opportunities to improve connections, safety, and the overall trail network? What places, landscapes, and experiences should the Trail help people access and discover? What would make the Trail more enjoyable, welcoming, and accessible?
For more than 30 years, the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail has connected people to nature, communities, and each other. Whether you’re a hiker, volunteer, landowner, member, supporter, or someone who simply cares about protecting this remarkable landscape, your voice matters.
Today, I’m inviting you to help shape the future of the Trail.
The Oak Ridges Trail Association, with support from the Greenbelt Foundation, has launched the first major public engagement process for the Trail in more than two decades. We want to hear about your experiences, your ideas, and your vision for what the Oak Ridges Moraine Trail can become in the years ahead.

Complete the Survey and Help Spread the Word
The engagement process runs from August 10 to October 12, 2026, and includes an online survey as well as the workshops. We encourage you to participate and share this opportunity with friends, family, colleagues, and others who care about the Moraine.
Together, we can ensure the Trail continues to serve and inspire future generations.
