Poison Ivy Alert Site Map

Hikers should be on the lookout for vigorous crops of poison ivy on the trails east of Yonge St. including the York Regional Forest, Durham Regional Forest, Long Sault CA and Ganaraska Forest.


Poison Ivy in the Summer

"Leaves of three, let them be". Look for a plant with 3 leaves (either serated or smooth). In the summer it is bright green, as above, and enjoys the sandy soil and is often found by the side of trails.
