1.The start of the 1st stage is 8:00 am on June 16, 2012.
2.Teams can consist of UP TO 15 participants with one person from each team completing each stage except the canoe stage which requires 2 people per team.
3. All registrants must sign a Waiver before participating in the event. Registrants under 18 years of age must have the Waiver signed and witnessed by a parent or legal guardian. (Waivers can be downloaded from this site.)
4 Route will be clearly marked and patrolled. Maps may be downloaded from this site.
5 Participants are responsible for arriving at their start point in time to check-in prior to the hand-off from their teammate. Please allow ample time to locate the exact transition point (may be along a trail from the nearest parking location).
6. The next participant cannot begin until (a) the previous team member has checked out at the Transition area or (b) instructed to depart by a Race Official as permitted by the Default Start Time (DST) provision below.
7. If an individual participant decides to complete multiple stages, then participants must check in and check out for each stage at the Start/Stop point of stage. (This allows organizers to track participants along the route).
8. This is a self-supported event. Participants are responsible for providing, and transporting, their own equipment and nutritional supplies along the course.
9. Each Transition Area has a “Default Start Time” (DST) when all remaining participants assigned to the stage must begin even if the preceding teammate has not yet arrived. (This keeps the pace moving.) The length of the actual delay will be added to the team’s time at the finish line to a maximum of the stage’s DNF penalty below.
10. A ‘Did Not finish’ (DNF) penalty has been assigned to each stage. It is the maximum time that can be registered for that stage whether a racer finishes or not.
11. Participants that abandon the event for whatever reason, must notify a race official immediately, either in person or by calling the emergency number printed on their maps. You must provide your name, team name and stage number.
12. No littering. Not even the corner of a wrapper.
13. On or before June 13, 2012, the Captain must submit their FINAL Team Roster indicating who is assigned to each stage. To download a Team Roster Form, click here.
